衍纸，也称卷纸，是纸艺的一种形式。发源于十八世纪英国，流传于英国王室贵族间的一种手工艺术。该手工运用卷，捏，贴，并且与特殊工具结合完成。被用于包装装饰，装饰画，卡片，装饰品等。衍纸工艺既有绘画的色彩表达能力，又有雕塑的空间视觉效果，其表达能力凸显出纸艺的包罗万象。
在衍纸社，同学们自主发展和发挥自身想象力的空间是极大的，不仅仅局限于所谓的“平面”造势，因为衍纸本身的纸张特性包括其自身带有的弧度，在经过一定改造后就能够足以造就不同种的联想，例如，3D类立体的效果和构造，因此在过程中我们主张无边界创作，这种制作方式反而能够达到最初意想不到的效果，也许会给你带来小小的成就感和快乐。
在每日紧张的学习氛围与压力下，我们也希望衍纸社能给各年级同学们提供一个可以缓解压力的环境。通过衍纸艺术，大家既可以多掌握一门技能，又可以放松身心。
Quilling, also known as paper filigree, is a form of paper art. Originating in 18th century England, it was a manual art that spread among the British royal nobility. The craft uses rolling, pinching, pasting, and special tools to complete. It is used for packaging decoration, decorative paintings, cards, decorations, and more. Quilling has both the ability for color expression of painting and the spatial visual effect of sculpture, highlighting the all-encompassing nature of paper art.
In the Quilling Club, students have great freedom to develop and use their own imagination, not limited to so-called “flat” creation. Because of the inherent curvature of quilling paper itself, it can be transformed to create different associations, such as 3D stereoscopic effects and structures. Therefore, we advocate for boundaryless creativity during the process, to achieve unexpected results and perhaps bring us a small sense of accomplishment and happiness.
Under the learning atmosphere and pressure, we also hope that the Quilling Club can provide an environment for students of all grades to relieve stress. Through quilling art, everyone can not only master a new skill, but also relax their body and mind.
